So I ended up getting to keep the HoH room after all... SCORE!
As I've mentioned publicly and personally to some of you, I do apologize for the incident regarding the first HoH. Had I even the smallest inkling that working cooperatively was not allowed, I would have asked first. But honestly, my instincts kicked in, and it didn't even pass through my mind that it was wrong. I noted in my one explanation that there have been other HoH challenges (even in this series), where answers were shared, and it wasn't a problem. The one that comes to mind was HoH 1 during season 2 where we were looking for hidden numbered images. I even remember commenting on me working with Joe and Keesha in my DR, and nothing was said. But that's neither here nor there, and I've got the key around my neck legitimately, and might I mention FOR THE FIRST TIME IN RAF!
Actually, this has been my first HoH win in quite a while. The last 2 BB games I played (season 2 of this series and recycled) produced a goose-egg of HoH wins. But alas, here I am, and now a decision lies in front of me.
Clearly, the obvious choice would be to nominate Sam/Kristen, and that's 99.9% likely going to happen, but I do want to add that I have PAINSTAKINGLY considered the other options. I may not seem like the most attuned person in the game, but I'm aware that there are alliances flying around faster than monkeys throw their shit at the zoo. And so, I could go after targets like Dixie, Rhian, or even my hopefully loyal f2 partner Estelle, but really, I feel like that would just make me public enemy number 1. Sam/Kristen would still have 0 reason to not nominate me, and by going against any of the combination of Dixie/Rhian/Estelle would likely make enemies out of most/if not all of them. And at the same time, there is Ryan and Talla (who, I honestly feel are playing decent games as well) in the middle. Yeah, I could nominate them, but I've also heard rumors of a f4 alliance between Estelle/Rhian/Sam/Kristen. Why would I take out someone who could eventually combat that alliance?
In the end, I view this in the same light as I view my decision to keep David over Drew in season 2. By targetting Sam/Kristen, sure, I may be taking out a lesser threat, given my options. But, by keeping them around, I increase the chances that I am targetted. I'd rather diminish the target on my back, even if it means keeping threats in the game. Because, really, everyone is a threat in their own way.
Do wanna add though that Dixie came to me and said that she and Rhian dont wanna get to the f2 and that they want me and Estelle there. Ummmm.... wtf? Who plays an AS game just to get to f4 for "revenge." I'm so skeptical to believe this, as it's so bizarre. Especially since Dixie was workig with Sam/Kristen earlier for sure. And Rhian has had opportunities to take them out, but didn't. Something is fishy here. Hell, I'm even skpetical that I can trust Estelle (as much as I love you, Animal, I fear that there's a chance a long-con could be in place).
In the end, I'm going to nominate Sam/Kristen for starters. Perhaps the PoV will be telling of where allegiances really lay. Oddly enough, Talla and Ryan could be my best bet when it comes to the end game, which is why I don't anticipate nominating either of them.
If Sam/Kristen come off the block by the hands of, say, Dixie/Rhian/Estelle, then one of those three will be the replacement. If Ryan or Talla veto one of Sam/Kristen, then the person who didn't win veto out of Talla/Ryan would probably go up. It's all up in the air, really. I need to figure out who truly has my back. Or, should I say, who has my back MOST. Because, still, I don't know if I can say I feel 100% safe with anybody.
At least I've got the PoV advantage still in my pocken in case I hit the block next week. I really do think I am going to have to rely on comp wins to secure my spot from here on out. Either that, or bank on one of my alliances to actually pan out.
Current rank of trust: Estelle, Talla, Dixie, Ryan/Rhian, Sam/Kristen
Note: Talla is higher because we had an in depth phone conversation the other day where she gave me a lot of information. Whether it's true, idk. I want to trust her, but I also know she plays hard, and will claw her way just to stay round by round. I wanna believe Dixie will help me get to the end, but it seems so random. And I don't really feel like Rhian is just playing for f3/f4. Ryan could be trustworthy, but I also know he expects me to go after Dixie/Rhian/Estelle (becase they are probably after him).
*le sigh* We shall see! But Dom is in final 7. Woo!
